Acer – Travel Mate Unleashed!

Acer has always been up front in introducing newer and better models. This time it has introduced its travel mate series. Currently this series has got 3 models. 8371, 8471, and 8571. They are ranged between a price tag of $ 900 to $ 1000. Critics review it as a reliable and sleek series with long battery time. The screen sizes also vary and come in three sizes i.e., 13.3, 14.1, and 15.6 inches with finger print readers, core 2 duo processors, finger print readers and windows 7 operating system. Each notebook is also provided with a windows XP cd for anyone sticking to old windows os.

Acer Aspire – Unveils the Olympic Model

Like always, Olympics is sponsored by many companies. Acer is also one of the official sponsors of 2010 Olympics. Olympic version of the two newer models Acer Aspire 4810T and Acer Aspire 1810TZ is available. The differentiation is of  the famous ring logos of Olympic on the top and near the palm rest. It will take some time for Acer 4810T to reach markets.

Acer Notebooks first to have Google Chrome OS!

In a recent interview with Digitimes Acer chairman JT Wang declared the company plans to to launch a Google Chrome OS running Notebook in second half of 2010. The time line for Chrome based OS notebooks is overlapping and the fierce competition will decide who is able to win “be the first” race in marketing and successfully launching a Chrome based Notebook. However if the wait seems unending, you can always Google the compatible version with your notebook to get a feel of it.

Acer Cell Phones

If you just thought that the surprise season is over, think again. Though someone might ask whats new with the news since Acer cell phones are there for quite sometime now. Acer earlier emphasized on Microsoft mobile OS based operating system and a recent hint from  the company has pointed towards a possible shift towards Android phones in the future. The number of cell phones to be launched by Acer is around 8 to 10 with a poised approach towards the selection of OS between Microsfot’s OS and Android by google.
